Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 serrano pepper, slit and sliced
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into ½” pieces
  • ½ to ¾ cup chicken pakora mix Add to Cart
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • Water (for mixing)
  • Oil (for frying)

Directions

  1. Prepare your vegetables and mix them well.
  2. Combine them with the chicken pakora mix and baking powder. Gradually add water until the vegetables are well-coated but not runny.
  3. Heat oil in a frying wok. Test the batter for seasoning.
  4. Fry small batches of veggie pakoras until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve with your favorite chutney or ketchup, and enjoy with a hot cup of tea.

Note: This dish can be made with either Authentic Indian Spice Blends or Expedition Spices Chicken Pakora spice mix. Feel free to experiment with different vegetables like cabbage, zucchini, eggplant, green tomatoes, or spinach.
