Serving Size: 3-4
Difficulty Level: Beginner

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tsp sabzi masala Add to Cart
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground white pepper (added  black pepper)
  • ¼ stick of butter
  • 3 tbsp oil

Directions

  1. Heat a nonstick pan and add oil. Once hot, add sabzi masala and cook until slightly brown.
  2. Add green beans, salt, and pepper. Cook covered on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. When the beans are halfway cooked, increase the heat, spread the vegetables evenly in the pan, and allow them to turn dark brown. Flip the vegetables and repeat this process until most of the beans develop black spots, adding a few teaspoons of water in between if needed. Cook until done.
  4. The beans should look grilled with black spots all over, be tender but not overly soft, and be about 80% cooked.
  5. Add the butter, gently mix it in, and serve.
